We require 72 hours notice for all prescription refills. (Controlled substances may require more time)
An active veterinarian-client-patient relationship (VCPR) is required for all prescription medications. Professional guidelines and State Law indicate that in order for Veterinarians to prescribe prescription medications, food or pest preventions your pet must be up to date on their annual wellness exam. (In order for a VCPR to be active, we must see your pet for an wellness exam once a year)
Prescription refill requests are accepted Monday-Friday during normal business hours. This includes prescription food, heartworm/flea and tick prevention and prescriptions called into an outside pharmacy.
Prescription medications CANNOT be returned Prescription medications are regulated by the Federal Drug Administration (FDA) and are subject to the same dispensing laws and regulations as human pharmacies. We cannot return, refund or take back any prescription medications.
