Traveling with your pet out of the state?

Preparing Certifications of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) for travel both Domestically and Internationally require timely and through preparation. It is recommended that you contact us well in advance of  your travel date.
Please visit the following website before you travel for more
information: https://www.aphis.usda.gov/aphis/pet-travel/interstate-pet-travel.

Your airline requirements may be different from and are independent of the government mandated requirements for the specific state that you are traveling to. These requirements may also differ from state to state and may change frequently. It is the responsibility of the owner to review all airline and state requirements.

If you visit the website listed above, please search the state you are traveling to in order to obtain the import requirements prior to traveling and contacting us so that you don't run into any issues or delays upon arrival or departure.

If you are traveling with your pet or plan to fly your pet to another state please contact us well in advance of your travel date.
In order to assist all pet owners in the transportation of their pet between states, we are required by law to:
1) Have an USDA accredited Veterinarian perform a pre-travel health exam on your pet within a specific timeline of your travel date.
2)  We will require very specific and time sensitive documentation and information be provided.
3) A Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) is required to be completed by an USDA accredited veterinarian after examining your pet and determining that it is free of infectious diseases and satisfies all import requirements of the receiving state, territory, or country. In addition to meeting various physical health criteria and depending on the species, age, and purpose of travel, the animals to be moved may need to have certain tests, treatments, vaccinations or other procedures performed before they can qualify for an inclusion on a CVI.

*CVI and travel pet exams both Domestic and International are non-refundable services that come at an additional cost to routine services.

To begin the process of a travel exam and veterinary inspection we require a non-refundable deposit of $100. This will be deducted from your final invoice.
