In House Laboratory Testing

Churchville Veterinary Hospital, P.C.

In House Laboratory Equipment

We perform most blood tests in our hospital with IDEXX equipment for quicker results.

  • Lasercyte uses laser-flow cytometry hematology for the most accurate differential Complete Blood Cell Count (CBC)
    • CBC- The complete blood count evaluates the number and condition of your pet's red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets.  Abnormalities that may be detected include anemia, infection, inflammation, clotting disorders and cancer.
  • Catalyst is a complete chemistry analyzer used to evaluate organ function.
    •  Certain profiles are performed in different situations.  A general health profile is an assessment of your pet's internal organs.  The panel screens for liver disease, kidney disease, diabetes mellitus, cancer and other endocrine disorders.
  •  Electrolyte Analysis
  • We also do the following in house testing
  • Pancreatic Lipase Test (dogs and cats)
  • Feline Leukemia/FIV/ Heartworm Test
  • Canine Heartworm Combination Test

Electrolytes including Sodium, Potassium and Chloride are also measured.

T4 - Thyroid screening allows us to detect both Hypothyroidism (canine) and Hyperthyroidism (feline).  This is recommended for all our senior cat and dog patients.
