Dr. Parsons grew up in the Churchville/ North Chili area. After graduating from Churchville-Chili High School he attended SUNY Brockport, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He later earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State University in 1994. After graduating from SUNY at Brockport, Dr. Parsons joined the Army. He served as a Transportation Officer serving on the Berlin Duty Train, and as a Veterinarian for a Civil Affairs Unit. His family now owns and operates Burnt Mill Farm, and enjoys raising and selling pasture-raised chickens and Finnsheep. Dr. Parsons founded Churchville Veterinary Hospital, P.C. in 1997. Additionally, he worked as a staff veterinarian for the Department of Laboratory Animal Medicine at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. In 2010 the practice was moved to its current location, a quaint Victorian style house located at 88 South Main street in Churchville, NY. The Churchville Veterinary Hospital currently serves small animals, and Dr. Parsons makes sure to provide the individualized attention and care necessary to ensure happy clients and patients. These beliefs contributed to Dr. Parsons being awarded the Businessman of the Year in 2006 from the Churchville Chamber of Commerce. |
In his spare time, Dr. Parsons also leads the Calvary Christian Fellowship, and conducts Bible Studies every Wednesday and Sunday mornings and evenings.. The Calvary Christian Fellowship welcomes anyone interested in learning and growing in their knowledge of the Scriptures and their personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
He has quite a variety of animals including his many friendly barn cats, dozens of sheep, a few chickens, some goats and a couple of geese!
